Song for the Lightworkers

We are so large in our light,
A wave that carries the sea.
There's a voice that we share
Permits us to borrow it
To sing our discovery of air.

Our hearts create, but we call that
Feeling the love that is present,
But maybe there's nothing there
But our hearts, beating out shapes
In empty hollows of prayer.

They say we are blessed to have
Earth, water, fire, air befriend us,
But maybe it's they who are blessed
To have us, who bring them to life
With meanings they'd never have guessed.

Our minds serve a silent world
And give it a voice of our own,
And hear in it music unique,
The sacred and true it can teach;
We find ourselves in what we seek!
