Crying at the Would-be River

A face contains more than can be seen
As there is more in words than what they say
But it's OK, for we believe what we are told:
That faces are ugly, and words can kill,
So the heat of the universe that rises off us
And would give life to all it touches
Disappears behind a veil of one simple rule:
That we can only be one in separation.
